Master of Commerce is a postgraduate Masters Degree focusing on commerce, management- and economics-related subjects. The Master of Commerce typically requires two years of full-time study.
The curriculum is usually concentrated on one subject area: such as accounting, actuarial science, business management, corporate governance, human resource management, economics, statistics, finance or marketing and emphasizes underlying theory. The program usually includes a thesis component and may be exclusively research based. The course serves the needs of academics as well and prepares students for research and teaching in business studies.
