Candidates who  have been allotted seat in Amrita School of Dentistry, Kochi for MDS by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) through centralized common counselling, should report at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi on or before the last date of reporting as per MCC guidelines.

Candidates should bring their Provisional Allotment Letter issued by DGHS, original certificates and proof of online payment receipt of first year fees and submit the same. Candidates without original certificates/documents/payment proof shall not be allowed to under take admission process and same will be intimated to DGHS.

Before reporting, candidates should remit their first-year course fees* (Tuition Fees +Other Fees only) through online mode, and proof of fee remittance should be e-mailed to pgadmissions@aims.amrita.edu ,  dentaladminoffice@aims.amrita.eduand dentalacademic@aims.amrita.edu*Hostel Fees to be paid only after checking availability during the document verification.

Documents / Original Certificates to be Submitted on the Day of Reporting

  1. Allotment Letter issued by MCC (Two Copies)
  2. NEET – MDS Score Card (Two Copies)
  3. Admit Card issued by NBE (Two Copies)
  4. BDS Degree certificate /Provisional Certificate from the concern University5. Mark Sheet of BDS Professional Examination year wise
  5. Permanent / provisional Registration Certificate issued by MCI/NMC or DCI/State Medical or Dental Council. Provisional Registration Certificate is acceptable only in cases where candidate is undergoing internship and likely to complete the same on or before 31st March of the year of admission.
  6. Internship Completion Certificate/Certificate from the Head of Institution or College that the candidate shall complete the Internship by 30th June, of this year.
  7. Attempt certificate
  8. High School/Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of date of birth.
  9. Candidates allotted seat must carry one of the identification proofs (ID Proof) to the allotted college at the time of admission (as mentioned in the information Bulletin published by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) for NEET i.e. PAN Card, Driving License, Voter ID, Passport or Aadhaar Card).
  10. Transfer Certificate from the institution last studied (if not received from the institute, mention the reason and to be submitted while reporting for admission physically to Amrita).
  11. Migration Certificate from the University (if not received from the institute mention the reason and to be submitted while reporting for admission physically to Amrita).
  12. Recent passport size colour photographs – 6 nos.
  13. Copies of all certificates (one set – self attested)
  14. Character and conduct certificate.
  15. Registration certificate with Kerala State Medical Council has to be submitted within a period of one month from the date of admission, failing which his/her admission shall stand cancelled.
  16. Medical Certificate for fitness (as per the format prescribed)
  17. The Candidate should also bring the following certificates, if applicable:
    • SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority (in the format as specified in the Information Bulletin) and should be in English or Hindi language. Sub caste should be clearly mentioned in the certificate. The translated certificate must be certified by a Gazetted Officer.
    • EWS Certificate as per the Central Govt. Norms (in the format as specified in the Information Bulletin) and should be in English or Hindi language. The translated certificate must be certified by a Gazetted Officer
    • OBC certificate issued by the competent authority. The sub-caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. The OBC candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer. The OBC certificate must be in the format as mentioned in the prospectus. The translated certificate must be certified by a Gazetted Officer.
    • Disability Certificate issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board for 21 Benchmark Disabilities as per the Rights of Persons with Disability Act,2016 and NMC Norms. No other certificate, issued by any other Authorities/ Hospital will be entertained. The format of Certificate of Disability is annexed (1,2) in the Information Bulletin

In addition to the above, NRI candidates are required to produce the below documents

  • Documents claiming that the sponsorer is an NRI (Passport, Visa of the sponsor).
  • Relationship of NRI with the candidate as per the court orders of The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in case W.P.(c) No. 689/2017- Consortium of Deemed Universities in Karnataka (CODEUNIK) & Ans. Vs Union of India & Ors. dated 22-08- 2017
  • Affidavit from the sponsor that he/ she will sponsor the entire course fee of the candidate duly notarized
  • Embassy Certificate of the Sponsor (Certificate from the Consulate).
  • Copy of passport and visa of the candidate (for foreign nationality)
  • NEET Score Card of the candidate.  Family tree notarized by the Tehsildar.
  • There will be no reservation for OBC/ SC/ ST/ PWD/EWS candidates in Deemed Universities.
  • NRI/OCI sponsored certificates etc must bring in original at the time of reporting

  • The above certificates mentioned in originals are mandatory and have to be submitted in original to Dental College at the time of reporting for admission.
  • Candidates who have deposited their original documents with any other Institute/ College/ University and come for admission with a certificate stating that “their original certificates are deposited with the Institute / College / University” will not be allowed to take admission in allotted Medical/ Dental College.
  • Candidates are advised to keep with them a softcopy/hardcopy of all the submitted documents for their future requirements.

For NRI category, Annual Other Fees & Hostel Fees should be remitted in INR only during the entire course duration i.e. for three years. All candidates are requested to attach screen shot of the fee remittance as a proof.

For INR payment of “Other Fees” by NRI candidates, they may take the bank details mentioned for General Category candidates. Entire course fees (Tuition Fee + Other Fees + Admission Processing Charges) should be paid before reporting.

Admission Cancellation and Refunds
