The Sanskrit Club of the School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru, conducted a 10-day workshop on spoken Sanskrit. The workshop was conducted during August 19-29, 2019. Mr. Niranjan from the “Samskrita Bharati” was invited to conduct the classes. This workshop was attended by 35 students of ASE-B.

The students presented Sanskrit dramas, Sanskrit speeches etc. on the last of the workshop. The participants gained confidence to communicate in Sanskrit after successfully attending the workshop. All these days, the students learnt how to construct the sentences, some basic grammar and were finally able to understand spoken Sanskrit without much expressions. Mr. Niranjan succeeded in keeping up his promise. He was polite enough to clear each and every individual’s doubt and made sure that the classes were interactive.  None of the individuals felt the session boring. In fact, they felt this 10-day workshop as a part of recreation.
