The 14th Graduation Day of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, was held at the campus on 26th August, 2017. 1725 students from the disciplines of engineering, business, arts & sciences, mass communication and social work received their degrees. This included 15 PhDs, and 50 medalists and rank-holders.
Sampujya Swami Purnamritananda Puri, General Secretary, Mata Amritanandamayi Math, delivered the benedictory address. Mr. T.R. Parasuraman, Deputy MD & member of the board, Toyota Industries Engine Pvt Ltd., delivered the graduation day address. Dr. K. Sankaran, Registrar; Prof. C. Parameswaran, Director-Corporate & Industry Relations; Dr. Sasangan Ramanathan, Dean, School of Engineering, Coimbatore; Dr. Krishnashree Achuthan, Dean of PG programmes and Dr. Raghu Raman, Chairman, Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore, participated in the graduation day proceedings.
All graduates were administered the oath: “I, hereby, solemnly declare and promise that I will, in my thoughts, words and deeds, uphold the ideals of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and commit myself to serving my motherland India, Mother Nature and mankind with love, trust, tolerance and humility.”
