India Research Excellence-Citation Awards-2017 for Amrita Nano Centre Faculty

Clarivate Analytics (Web of Science), the global leader in trusted insights and analytics for research and innovation, announced the 6th edition of the India Research Excellence-Citation Awards-2017, recognizing and honouring research excellence in the country on different fields and Dr. R. Jayakumar, Professor at the Centre for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, has received this award under the “Medical & Health Sciences” discipline. The awards were held at Sheraton, New Delhi, on November 3, 2017.

Dr. Manzoor K., Professor, Amrita Center for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine, will be a speaker at the 9th edition of India's premier Nano-science and Nanotechnology Event Bengaluru India Nano 2017, which will be held from December 7th to 8th, 2017, at the Lalit Ashok, Bengaluru. The Bengaluru India Nano Conference would address the latest trends in Nano-technology focusing on Nano-sensors, Nano in Energy Sector, Nano Manufacturing and Scalability and Nano-Medicine. The Post Conference Tutorials would cover Nano Fabrication Technologies; Surface Probe Microscopy and Bio-imaging.

Amrita Samyogam Puts Forward an Integrative Approach to Cancer Management

Amrita Samyogam 2017 provided an integrative approach to cancer management through the integration of Ayurveda and Allopathy. The US follows an integrative approach to cancer treatment using elements from Indian tradition and culture. The integration of mind-body, physical and social has helped cancer patients in their healing process. "Amrita Samyogam 2017" witnessed the integration of Ayurveda and modern medicine, organised by the School of Ayurveda, Amrita University, in association with Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. More than 60 experts in integrative medicine from six countries attended the meet.

"Amrita Samyogam 2017" witnessed the integration of Ayurveda and modern medicine, organised by the School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, in association with Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. More than 60 experts in integrative medicine from six countries attended the meet. Dr. Rajesh Kotecha, Special Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH was the chief guest of the event. The participants will identify strategies for integrating Ayurveda with Allopathy in the management of diseases like cancer, diabetes and arthritis.
