Abstract :

Background: Video Streaming is multimedia that is constantly received by and presented to an end-user while being delivered by a provider.

Objective: Prefetching is a mechanism which is before start playing the video, fetching the video from server and storing that in the neighbour peers, whenever we need we can able to easily get that video segment. Prefetching in video streaming is very important technique for improving the performance of video streaming.

Results: In video streaming prefetching, we having more number of prefetching techniques and strategies to prefetch the video segments.

Conclusion: In this paper we going to analyze and compare the various prefetching strategies in peer-to-peer video streaming.
