This women’s studies conference will zoom in on pressing challenges in the field and the barriers that communities face on a global, regional, and local levels in their fight for gender equality. WOMENSCONF 2022 will take place in the lively city of London, United Kingdom, on the 24th– 26th of November. Amrita’s UNESCO Chair strives to promote international, inter-university cooperation and networking to enhance institutional capacities and collaborative work. It was in the fall of 2016 that Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (University) and UNESCO inaugurated India’s first-ever Chair on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment.
Al Hayat Center for Civil Society Development is a non-governmental civil society organization established in 2006. Al Hayat aims to promote accountability, governance, public participation, and tolerance in Jordan and the region within the framework of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law, taking into consideration gender mainstreaming in public policy and action. Hayat RASED also works on increasing women’s and youth’s empowerment.
