Bio

Dr. Himanshu Singh joined the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore in January 2024. He received his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons.) degree in Electronics Engineering from Madhav Institute of Technology & Science, Gwalior (MP, India) and Master of Technology (M.Tech.) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) Jabalpur (MP, India). He received the Certificate of Merit for securing highest CGPA in MTech Course Work during AY 2014-2015 at IIITDM Jabalpur. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (with specialization in Signal and Image Processing) from Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing Jabalpur (MP, India).

Before joining Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate for an ICMR sponsored project at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, India from 09 June 2023 to 26 December 2023. Prior to it, he worked as an Ad-hoc Assistant Professor (ECE) at National Institute of Technology Karnataka, India, from 21 July 2022 to 15 March 2023. He have also worked as an Ad-hoc Assistant Professor (ECE) at National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India, from 16 August 2021 to 31 May 2022.

Dr. Himanshu is a keen researcher, having more than 38 international publications in various reputed international journals, book chapters and international conferences. His research interests include Image Processing and Computer Vision Applications, Digital Signal Processing and Applications, Machine Leaning and Deep Learning Techniques, Biomedical Signal Processing and Applications, Evolutionary Techniques and Optimization Methods. He is an active IEEE Professional Member from 9 years.
