Electrochemical Processing
Electrochemical processes have enabled a paradigm shift in chip making and it is expected to continue to enable further miniaturization of chip-package interconnects, microelectronic packages, printed circuit boards, MEMS, sensors and actuators. Expertise and facilities exist for conducting simulation as well as experimental investigation of electrochemical processes.
Our research focus areas are:
- Electrodeposition and electroless deposition processes
- High rate anodic dissolution processes and their application in electrochemical machining, wet etching, electropolishing and microfabrication
- Fabrication of prototype wafer-level electrochemical processing tool
- Molecular Simulation
