It’s resources include expertise available in the Center for Excellence in Advanced Materials and Green Technologies and in different Engineering and Science Departments in the campus.
For industrial partnership and sponsorship, ACIRI works hand in hand with Corporate and Industry relations (CIR) personnel, CIR serving as the linkage (bridge) between ACIRI and industry.
Dr. Sasangan Ramanathan, Dean- Engineering and a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science, brings with him over 20 years of international research, management and leadership experience. Dr. Sasangan’s focus and dedication is in preparing the next generation graduates for challenges in science, engineering, technology and management. He represents the institution’s commitment to excellence in teaching, learning, research and positive contribution to the society. He is a strong believer in an educational process that promotes creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship while providing the students with strong fundamentals. Dr. Sasangan Ramanathan holds a Ph. D. in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University (USA), has served in various capacities in research and development in the US. Recently, he served as the Chief Technology Officer for a multi-million dollar company in the US in developing cutting edge technology for advanced semiconductor device fabrication.
Dr. Sriram Devanathan is the Head of Center for Excellence in Advanced Materials and Green Technologies and a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. He comes to Amrita with ten years of industrial experience at the 3M Company in Minnesota, Texas and California (USA) and seven years experience in academic research as a graduate student at Iowa State University, USA, where he also received his Ph. D. He has a Certificate of Six Sigma Black Belt Training from 3M, and has successfully led quality improvement/cost reduction projects in various 3M Company manufacturing plants in the US, Canada, Singapore and Japan. His areas of interest include Six Sigma, Fault Diagnosis, Empirical Modeling, Data Mining, Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, and Process Modeling & Simulation.
