Bio

Dr. Vineet Nair currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the School of Artificial Intelligence, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru. Previously, he was a Senior Project Engineer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He did his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur; M. Tech. in Engineering Design from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Ettimadai, Coimbatore; and B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, Kollam.
Vineet uses the discipline of mechanics and applied mathematics to model and understand natural phenomena. His research interests include the subject of elastocapillarity – the study of interaction between elasticity and surface tension – and the mathematical modelling of surface effects in soft solids.
