Abstract : Human behavior analysis is a fascinating and complex field that has the potential to improve our understanding of social interactions and mental health. One approach to studying human behavior is using eye gaze detection technology. Eye movements provide insights into how people perceive and respond to their environment. Eye gaze detection technology has many applications in human behavior analysis, such as understanding social interaction, detecting cognitive impairments, and improving mental health treatment. In this paper, we present an overview of the field of human behavior analysis using eye gaze detection. We describe the technology behind eye gaze detection, the different types of eye movements, and the methods used to analyze the data. We then discuss how eye gaze can be used to predict social behavior, detect cognitive impairments, and evaluate the effectiveness of mental health treatments. The proposed system predicts human behavior such as sadness and depression using a CNN model with an accuracy of 93%. This shows that eye gaze detection has great potential for advancing our understanding of social interactions and mental health as its use is widespread in research and clinical settings. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2023.
