We investigate, by mathematical modeling, the pulsatile blood flow in large arteries of human beings, by using the pressure gradient wave forms reported in the medical literature, and study the medically relevant hemodynamic wall parameters that are known to be causative factors for the formation of atherosclerosis. In our modeling we use different medical situations like hematocrit dependent viscosity, especially under diseased conditions, particle suspension model, two-layer model, axial wall motion in the case of coronary artery etc. The main goal is to find out the effect of various parameters on the HWPs and render useful insights to the medical experts to find out strategies to address and alleviate the problem of formation of atherosclerosis.
