Genomics of Extensively Drug Resistant Enteric Bacterial Pathogens Isolated from India
Bhabatosh is a molecular microbiologist trained in (i) Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Kharagpur (M.Tech. 2003) (ii) Indian Institute of Chemical Biology (IICB), Kolkata (Ph.D. 2008) (iii) Institute of Integrative Biology of the Cell (I2BC), France (Postdoc 2011) and (iv) Osaka University (2017), Japan (JSPS Fellow). He is the recipient of two international fellowships (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (Govt. of Japan, 2017), Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (Govt. of France, 2008) and three national fellowships (IIT – 2001, ICMR – 2003, CSIR – 2006). Currently, Bhabatosh is working as Associate Professor in Translational health Science and Technology Institute, an autonomous institute under the Dept. of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. His major research focus is oriented to understand (i) the composition, diversity and dynamics of human microbiome in health and disease and (ii) Role of human gut microbiome in the emergence of antimicrobial resistant bacterial pathogens.
