Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was started by the world-renowned humanitarian leader, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, Amma. As Chancellor of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amma continues to guide the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s mission and growth.
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus has teamed with Cisco Systems, Inc., to become a Local Cisco Networking Academy. The Academy programme was launched at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri in September 2004 and has been offering regular CCNA certification classes since then. In year 2006 the campus also initiated a training programme on Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform.An IT Essentials Certification programme was launched in the campus in year 2007 which trains students for entry-level positions in the IT field within several different working environments, such as corporate, help-desk and field environments.
During 2009 academy initiated to start CCNP programme and our faculties awarded first CCNP instructors in Asia Pacefic region.
In the year of 2009 itself SAARC academy meet held at Bangalore recognized Amrita for the excellence in academic filed by giving “The Best Academy “in Asia Pacefic region.
