The Sadhu Talks event, “Monk Maker Ramakrishna Paramahamsa,” held on 14thMar 2024, at Sandeepini Hall, Sadhana Club, Amrita Darshanam, aimed to shed light on lesser-known aspects of Monk Maker Ramakrishna Paramahamsa’s life and legacy.

The event, a follow up to our previous event “Sadhu Talks: Unsung Indian Hero Swami Vivekananda”, featuring Mr. Shankar Kumaran as the speaker, unfolded over the course of an engaging one-hour speech that delved into various life incidents of Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. 

Through his words, Mr. Shankar Kumaran enlightened and inspired the students to delve deeper into the profound wisdom of Shri Ramakrishna. He skillfully narrated the divine bond between Shri Ramakrishna and Maata Kaali, the power of brahmacharya and what a true bhakta meant through various life incidents of Shri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. His life incidents not only enriched the listeners’ minds but also touched their hearts.

Overall, the event was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.This event has significantly contributed to the intellectual and spiritual growth of the audience.

Goshala Expedition – 4/5/2023

The club organized a peaceful walk to the Goshala within the campus. This experience allowed members to connect with nature and discuss the importance of mindfulness, relationship with oneself, the scientific significance of traditional cultural practices and the relationship between humans and the environment. The event reinforced the club’s commitment to spiritual growth, cultural awareness, environmental consciousness, and the overall development of its members. It was a transformative journey that highlighted the significance of unity with nature in our spiritual awakening.

A Visit to ISHA – 26/11/2023

The Sadhana Club recently visited the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. It involved visits to Teerthakunds, Dhyanalinga, Adiyogi and it was an opportunity for members to engage in deep discussions about spirituality and self-discovery. They explored topics like the evolution of consciousness and the difference between an ordinary individual and a realized soul. The conversations held during the excursion resonated profoundly with our club’s core mission of fostering spiritual enlightenment and holistic growth among our members. The exchange of ideas and insights contributed significantly to our collective pursuit of deeper spiritual understanding. It was a transformative journey that emphasized the importance of intellectual discourse and spiritual exploration in self-realization. The trip reaffirmed the club’s dedication to providing opportunities for spiritual introspection and intellectual discussion.
