The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, will organize a DRDO Sponsored Workshop & Mini-Project Course on Physical Layer Security Theory to Practice.

This workshop aims at imparting core competency in methods of Physical layer security staring from fundamentals, design of schemes, implementation and further to unleash research potential.

Important Dates

  • Last Date for Registration: November 6, 2019
  • Workshop Dates: November 13 - 15, 2019

About the Workshop

Physical Layer Security has significantly influenced wireless communications to establish a secured data transmission between a transmitter and a legitimate receiver, and has evolved to be a pivotal technique for securing communication over wireless networks. Secret keys can be generated and shared between two wireless nodes by measuring and encoding radio channel characteristics without ever revealing the secret key to an eavesdropper at a third location.

The workshop will enable undergraduate and graduate students to secure career in core establishments in wireless security frontiers, create expertise among faculty for fostering courses, facilitate research scholars to pursue superior and quality research in cutting-edge technologies, enable practising engineers in industry and research labs to design, develop and deploy efficient and secure transmission in challenging and demanding environments.
