A literary week was organized under the banner of PRAYAANA, the literary association of the Department of English, Amrita School of Arts and Sciences, Amritapuri, from November 10-16, 2016. The following competitions were held:

• Debate
• Best Personality contest
• Best Journalist
• Literary quiz
• Essay, poetry, short story competitions
• Photography contest

A photography exhibition and an exhibition on Indian writers in English were on display throughout the week. The event came to a close with the prize distribution ceremony held on Nov 21. The event was followed by cultural programmes – mime, semi-classical dance, drama, dance-drama- by the students of the department.
