The Department of Swasthavritta, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, organized the second series of Acupuncture Camp from August 29 – 31, 2019. The camp was inaugurated by Dr. C. Nagarajan (Br. Sankara Chaitanya) (Medical Director, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri) in the presence of Dr. Rabinarayan Tripathy (Vice Principal, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri), Cdr. S. A. Srikumar (Administrative Officer, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri) and Dr. Vandana Rani M. (Professor, Department of Swasthavritta, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri).
The camp was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. Namita V., (Yoga and Naturopathy Consultant) with trained PG scholars of the Department of Swasthavritta. The highlight of the camp was Swasthya Pareeksha, which included Advanced Nadi Pareeksha, Prakriti Analysis and Diet-Lifestyle Assessment. In Acupuncture, the team concentrated in pain management for Arthritis, Migraine, Insomnia and Stress management. The team introduced Chakra balancing and Enhancing positive health and wellness. The Camp had a great inflow of patients from all walks. The follow up for the camp was also conducted. More than 60 patients benefitted from the camp. The camp created a successful impact on health, wellness and pain relief.
