Summary of the event:
Webinar on – “Basics of Data Science using MATLAB” was conducted on 05th August 2020 at 2 PM on online platform – Microsoft Teams by the Department of Computer Science, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus. 144 participants attended the webinar.
The Resource person – Mr. Amith Kamath who is an educational evangelist in MATHWORKS gave talk on Basics of Data Science using MATLAB. He began the session by providing brief information about the basics of data science and also gave an idea of how the MATLAB can be used in data analysis. Participants from various colleges and institutions took part in the webinar, these participants included students, research scholars, industry professionals and faculty members.
The session was a hands-on demonstration of the MATLAB tool. The session was concluded at 4PM.

Outcome: Students learned about the MATLAB and how it can be used in the data analysis
