As a part of VIDYUT 2020, the Department of Chemistry, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus organized a workshop on Sustainability and Green Technology for Better Life on January 30, 2020. Total number of students registered was 60 from inside and outside our organization.
Jojo T. D. from ATREE (Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and Environment) gave a hands-on session where the students were taught to convert a weed to value added product like paper.
Dr. G. Sivasubrahmanian gave a lecture on the importance of development of multifunctional materials, adhering to the principle of sustainability at the raw material, process, supply chain and end user levels.
As a part of workshop around 100 plants were supplied to the participants
