Bio

Dr. Sunil Kumar currently serves as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai Campus.

Dr. Sunil Kumar graduated (BSc) in 2010 from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, and completed his postgraduation (MSc) in Mathematics from the University of Delhi (North Campus) in 2012. He completed his Ph. D. in June 2020 from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal, Punjab. His doctoral research was on “Development of Some Improved Classes of Numerical Methods for Solving Nonlinear Equations”. He served as an Assistant Professor (2015-2016) in the Department of Mathematics, National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra. He qualified for CSIR-NET and secured 33rd rank (033/299).

Dr. Sunil Kumar has published 19 (15 Sci-Indexed) journal articles in reputed journals such as Springer, Elsevier, Taylor and Francis, De Gruyter and  Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute. He has presented 5 papers in International Conferences.  His current research areas are Numerical Analysis, Mathematical Analysis, Numerical Methods, Computational Mathematics and  Numerical Optimization.
