Bio

Ms. Riya Mehta has had teaching experience of 5 years. She has also been trained in Lexicography and Manuscriptology. After qualifying for her UGC NET (Sanskrit) and MH-SET (Sanskrit), she has enrolled for her Doctoral Studies (PhD) at Kavikulaguru Kalidasa Sanskrit University, Ramtek (KKSU).

Ms. Mehta has received many awards which include Smt. Mahadevi P. Bhatia Award (2021), Prof. Dinkar Khanderao Deshpande Memorial Award (2021), Dr. Amrit and Sau Vimala Ghatage Award (2021), all for merit in M.A in Sanskrit and Lexicography. She has also received Narotam Sekhsaria Scholarship for two years during her Post Graduation.

In addition to being the topper of her department during her Post Graduation studies, she also holds a Visharad in Indian Classical Music (Vocals) from Akhil Gandharva Bharatiya Mahavidyalay, Mumbai.

Ms. Mehta has been a part of many National Conferences and has also presented a few papers. She has also worked on an M.A Dissertation, a copy of which is submitted to Deccan College Post-Graduate and Research Institute, Pune.

She is currently working as a Faculty Associate at the department of Amrita Darshanam and International Centre for Spiritual Studies, Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru.
