Dr. Rose Kamal is faculty (Assistant Professor) of Medical Physics in Radiation Oncology Department. He completed his Post Graduation in Medical Physics followed by Doctorate in Medical Physics from Panjab University, Chandigarh in collaboration with PGIMER, Chandigarh. He has over 7 years of clinical experience with abundant expertise in commissioning and calibration of radiation therapy and diagnostic equipments. He has an in-depth knowledge of various treatment planning techniques such as IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, Gated Radiation Therapy, Adaptive Radiation Therapy, TBI, TSET, Brachytherapy, and SRS/ SBRT planning of various sites. He underwent specialized training on SRS/ SBRT planning for complex cases from Brainlab Academy, Munich, Germany. He is well-versed with standardized quality assurance procedures to ensure the high precision radiation therapy.
During his professional journey, he has been appointed as an expert to finalize the technical specifications of the diagnostic and radiation therapy equipments in hospitals under Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). He has been a part of a randomized trial initiated by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on “SBRT versus TACE in hepatocellular carcinoma”. He was involved in Institutional trial on “SBRT versus TACE for large tumors in hepatocellular carcinoma”. He has performed extensive research work on Liver SBRT. He published 15 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is a reviewer in an international journal of Medical Physics (JACMP). He is a life member of Association of Medical Physicists of India.
