Abstract : Ageing is defined as a progressive generalised impairment of function resulting in the loss of adaptive responses to stress and a growing risk of age-associated diseases. Ayurveda explains ageing as inevitable and explains the anti-ageing measures as Rasayana. Vaya explains the ageing process. Decade wise Hrasa (loss) is another view of understanding ageing. Ahara and Vihara are having a specific impact on ageing. So to delay ageing process, Ahara and Vihara should be proper.
