Abstract : Plastic money is used as one of the most convenient ways for carrying out different monetary transactions by the people. The present study makes an attempt to know the customer attitude towards the usage of plastic money namely debit card and credit card. It focuses on the preference of customers towards plastic money over cash. It also analyzes the purpose of using plastic money, satisfaction level with plastic money and the problems faced with the use of plastic money. The data collection for the study is done through the survey method with a structured questionnaire. The respondents for the study included students, private employees, government employees, etc. residing in the places of Ernakulam district. The study shows that the customers have a positive attitude towards the usage of plastic money.
