Channel estimation for high speed wireless systems using Gaussian particle filter and auxiliary particle filter

Abstract : Wireless Communication Technology serves as a trending medium for transmission of information from one device to other devices. Due to fading caused by multipath propagation and Doppler shift, error free transmission becomes impossible to achieve. Channel estimation is one of the popular approaches for improving the performance of the wireless systems. In this paper, we propose channel estimation using GPF (Gaussian particle filter) and APF (auxiliary particle filter).RMSE (Root mean square error) is computed for both GPF and APF and they are compared with PF (particle filter),and the simulation results show that the performance of GPF and APF are better than PF. © 2019 IEEE.
