Abstract : The design and implementation of a Coplanar Waveguide (CPW) band rejection filter with modified signal line is presented in this paper. In particular, the modification is created as a spiral etched in the signal line which perturbs the surface current on the line, providing additional capacitance and inductance that reflects as the band stop characteristics in the frequency spectrum. A filter prototype has been designed fabricated, numerically and experimentally assessed. The obtained results, as well as the agreement between numerical and experimental are quite good
