Abstract : One of the most consistent and advanced renewable energy sources is wind energy. It is critical to use the maximum amount of wind energy available and to maintain wind turbines at their peak output. Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is a periodical study in the state of art currently, with a variety of techniques being used. Developing an accurate maximum power point tracking methodology for a certain scenario necessitates expertise because every MPPT algorithm does have its own set of benefits and drawbacks. As a result, a thorough examination of them is required. Two distinct MPPT algorithms for attaining optimum power from wind turbines are explained in this work. The advantages, disadvantages, and detailed analysis of the MPPT techniques are emphasized in terms of initial investment, responsiveness, and ability to acquire maximum energy output. The modeled systems are simulated in MATLAB and the results are validated which proves Tip Speed Ratio to have better efficiency when compared to Perturbation and Observation.
