Abstract : Emotion detection is a process of identifying the mental state of a person. Emotion detection is used by top companies so that they can provide more relevant suggestions. Emotions detection has a wide range of applications like auto tagging in social networks, understanding the patient’s mood by a doctor and human machine interactions. In this paper we analyze two major techniques used for emotion detection namely, Multilevel HMM and Deep learning technique Convolutional Neural Network
