Abstract : Travelling in two wheelers especially in late evenings, can prove to be annoying, and in certain conditions dangerous too, if distracted by even a single insect flying straight into the driver's eyes. In darkness, headlights of vehicles are a major source of light on roads, to which Insects are attracted. This distraction can be highly risky, especially when the vehicle is moving at high speeds, as this can create a problem to the vision. Even a momentary lapse in concentration or a jerky reaction to ward off the insect can cause the driver to lose his balance. Helmets are not a sufficient solution because in the hot and humid conditions here, most drivers prefer to keep the visor of the helmet open, thus rendering them vulnerable to insects flying near or into the eye. This proposal provides a solution to avoid insect interference while driving using ultrasonic frequency. © Research India Publications.
