Abstract : The world of technology is all about electrical power. The urge to power various devices for even and effective operations is increasing enormously. The per capita energy consumption of any given country is growing day by day, because of which the world of sustainability exists to a larger extent now. Due to deploying concern with conventional energy sources, the system is moving towards renewable energy sources. One among the renewable systems is the wind energy systems. Wind energy conversion systems is more common because of the comfort of generation and accessibility of the wind. In this paper, high efficient and low maintenance Wind energy conversion systems (WECS) of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) is used. Quite a few appliances are working directly with DC. In WECS system, the conversion from AC to DC is necessary to which a converter component of rectifier will be used. In this paper, a converter is designed to suit WECS and the output voltage is boosted using a boost converter. The entire work is simulated in MATLAB-Simulink.
