Abstract : This article focuses on the IT industries in Mysuru who are involved in CSR activities to empower women. According to India’s companies Act 2013, it is mandatory for all the qualifying companies in India to spend minimum of 2% of their net profit. CSR Activities has taken over a great change since 27 years of companies journey, Companies have spent in various sectors and for various reasons, all these years in India but some have targeted their spending around 2 to 5%of profits on women empowerment, Women have played a very important role in growth of India but day by day their strength and esteem is pulling them down because of the society and poverty for these reasons some companies have shown their great interest in women empowerment and providing vocational training programmes for them in different areas, which would help them to have a better future. In result of this activity many of the women who belong to below poverty line and those who are struggling hard to survive are benefited and many of the women have started their own ventures and earning money now. CSR is a great step for any industry to mark its name in the market as well as society. © IAEME Publication.
