As part of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Jivamritam- Community based Purified Drinking Water Programme, the students and staff members of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham visited more than 100 panchayaths across the state of Kerala . The team held meetings with the panchayath officials, discussed the importance of safe drinking water and water conservation The team, with the support of the panchayath officials and community members in the locality identified water stressed regions in those communities and came up with action plans to ensure their drinking water is safe from contamination.
