About the Project

Atomization and Sprays
Atomization is the process of disintegration of liquid column into fine droplets, it finds wide range of applications – combustion of fuels, spray coating, spray drying, aerosol, powder metallurgy, pharmaceutical industries, nebulizers etc.. The proposed study focusses on the development of atomizers, qualitative and quantitative analysis of primary and secondary breakup phenomenon of liquid column using high speed imaging.

Pyrolysis
Pyrolysis is the process of thermo-chemical decomposition of waste into a useful by-product. This study aims to convert waste to energy using experiments under various operating conditions.

Exergy
Extraction of maximum work potential from energy, this study focuses on analysis second law efficiency for each subsystem to enhance the performance of the thermal system.
