About the Project

A study on mathematical and simulation model of an Electric Double Layer Capacitor (EDLC) based on Finite Element Modeling (FEM) in COMSOL, a Multiphysics simulation software. The simulation model studied the performance characteristics of the nanoparticle coating on the electrodes of EDLC. The influence of high permittivity nanoparticles on the dielectric properties are investigated targeting improvement in efficiency as well as the life span of the hybrid electrical energy storage.
study the degree of influence on battery efficiency, a computer-aided multiphysics simulation is implemented in COMSOL by using the mathematical model of the battery. The properties included in the study are initial salt concentration in the electrodes, length of the electrodes, the volumetric ratio of the electrode materials, the volumetric ratio of the electrolyte, initial concentration of lithium ions, and the lithium-ion diffusivity.
A study on performance of nano-reinforced cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) for high-voltage insulation applications with particular focus on dielectric characteristics, treeing behavior and mechanical properties. The nanocomposites with varying content of organo-modified layered silicate (nanoclay) were prepared by melt mixing of polyethylene, cross-linking agent and nanoclay.
