Organizing Information: Fine tuning the content – language, form factor, interaction levels, colour codes and overall web page impact factor.
Emphasizing Important Information: Drafting and retuning titles and sub headings, Providing hyperlinks and sub-stories, Selection of relevant visual elements.
General activity
Analysing various web pages and finding out the diversity of factors such as language styles, web page layout patterns, classic forms, usage of colour codes and shades etc.
Assessment Activity 1
Developing a short e book that will be suitable for upload in a website. The e book can be on a product or a service and it should not be a mere user manual but a handy, ready reference material that highlights the technology.
Blog Creation/Web Page Content Design: Understand the psychology behindweb traffic, Integrating content and visuals, Content ethics, Aspects pertaining to sharing and monetization.
Activity 2 (End semester component)
Commercial web page design (with inclusion of minimum graphics and maximum content) – Each group should come up with a product or concept possibility which can be made accessible through the web page. The web page should be very interactive in the sense that it should have links to feature descriptions.
To help students develop required linguistic and technical skills for drafting, proof reading and editing: Blog, eBook, Commercial Web Page Design, Business Listing Press Release and Product Description.
