QSEC

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, is organizing a QSEC – Quantum Information Science, Engineering workshop. Eminent experts in this area will share their views on this emerging field with the potential to be as immense as the revolution “classical” computing brought about. This workshop focuses on Quantum Algorithms & Cryptography and Quantum Materials & Measurement.

It has already been shown that Quantum computers realized so far can achieve exponentially higher performance for certain types of computations and can produce major breakthroughs in many fields. A fully developed quantum computer is expected to boost computational productivity and push forward the frontiers of technology incredibly. Trends in Quantum Computing and Quantum Measurement are set to thrive in the global tech market in the times ahead as many countries have their quantum computing missions chalked out. What is particularly noticeable is that these trends blend research and practical commercial arenas.

The aim of the workshop is to envision and articulate possible directions of future work in the areas of the theory of Quantum Information and Computing, and experimentation on Quantum Materials and Measurement.

The faculties, PhD scholars, MSc/MTech students of departments of Computer Science and Engineering, ECE, EEE, Physics and Mathematics, and related Centers across the campuses of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham are very welcome to participate.
