Sastramritam

Sastramritam, the annual science day celebrations of School of Physical Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi Campus, is conducted as a part of the National Science Day celebrations to commemorate the discovery of the “Raman Effect” by renowned scientist Sir C.V. Raman.

The celebrations are intended to raise awareness about the importance of science in daily life, as well as to recognise all activities, projects, and achievements in the field of technology that benefit humanity.

Sastramritam 2023 celebration will include talks by eminent speakers, science exhibitions, Inter collegiate science quiz, seminars, debates, and a variety of other activities, organised jointly by the Department of Mathematics and Department of Sciences under the School of Physical Sciences at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi Campus.

Intercollegiate Competitions
MITI – Geometric Art Contest
  • Use only 3 to 4 geometric shapes.
  • Name your art and add a description Submit only in PDF format.
  • Only one entry is allowed per individual.

  • A team of two people can take part.
  • A college may register more than one team.
  • The registration fee for each team is Rs. 125 + 18% GST.
  • Preliminaries will be held if there are more than 20 participants.

AKSHA – Photography Contest
  • Theme : Mathematics in street life
  • No plagiarism Submit only raw photos.
    Edited photos will be rejected.
  • Registration fee is Rs. 50 Photos submitted must be at least 640 pixels on the shorter side, and no more than 2000 pixels on the longer side. Images should be no larger than 2MB. Photos must be in JPEG format.
  • Maximum 3 entries are allowed per individual.
  • Attach your entries in the registration link given below.
  • Last date for submission : 20th March 2023
