The occupation of the people in the village is mainly working as daily wage workers in the nearby farms. The people at the village don’t have their own land for agriculture. Apart from working on daily wages people have started the goat rearing business which yields them additional income.

Murugan pathi is a village where we could see that all people had the valid identity cards such as Ration card, Aadhaar card. There were many beneficiaries of the governments scheme like pensions for widows and allowances for scheduled tribes. As far as education is concerned five children from the village are the first people to have started going to college level education, of whom comprises 2 nursing students and one BA History student. Muruganpathi is a village that can be cited as a model village, where students are eager to study, as far as we saw the village it was virtually litter free and had no garbage accumulated on the streets. Almost all households, reared goats but it was made a point by the villagers to keep the streets neat and tidy from goat waste.
