Dr. Deepak Thaper, PhD, is an Consultant and Assistant Professor (Medical Physics), Department of Radiation Oncology, School of Medicine, Faridabad. He specializes in Radiation Oncology Physics with expertise in advanced radiotherapy techniques, including IMRT, VMAT, SRS, SBRT, image-guided radiotherapy, adaptive radiotherapy, and motion management. 

With a strong commitment to precision medicine, Dr. Thaper has played an active role in the clinical implementation, commissioning, and quality assurance of state-of-the-art radiation therapy technologies, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of treatment to cancer patients. His work combines rigorous scientific methodology with patient-centred care to enhance treatment quality and clinical outcomes. 

As an academician, he is actively involved in teaching and mentoring postgraduate students and young professionals in Medical Physics. He contributes to the development of academic programmes and promotes a culture of research and innovation within the institution. 

Dr. Thaper’s research interests encompass stereotactic radiotherapy, dosimetry, treatment planning optimization, adaptive radiotherapy, and quality assurance. He is particularly interested in harnessing the potential of Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, radiomics, and emerging quantum computing technologies to develop intelligent and adaptive solutions for the future of radiation oncology. 

He has authored several peer-reviewed scientific publications and regularly participates in national and international academic activities, reflecting his dedication to advancing the science and practice of Medical Physics.
