Bio

Dr. Sandeep Singh Chauhan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of ECE, Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru, India. He received B. Tech degree in ECE from UPTU, Lucknow, in 2011 and M. Tech in Nanotechnology from NIT Surathkal, Karnataka, in 2014. He is the recipient of the Prime Minister Scholarship and MHRD Fellowship from the Government of India during his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, respectively. He joined the IIT Roorkee to pursue his doctorate in Microelectronics Laboratory, Department of ECE and received his degree in August 2020. Before joining IIT Roorkee as a doctorate scholar, he worked at SSPL, DRDO, Laboratory, Delhi, from July 2013 to July 2014. He has also worked at CeNSE, Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Bangalore, during his doctoral program from July 2016 to May 2017. He received the IEEE IES Students and Young Professionals (SandYPs) Award from IEEE IES at the ICIT conference, 2018, held in Lyon, France. He has also worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Delhi. Till now, Dr. Chauhan has published 10+ top-rated research papers in peer-reviewed Journals and International conferences. He also has a patent application, which has received a positive international search report from the Indian patent office. His current research interests include microfabrication, vibrational energy harvesting (VEH), Magnetic Energy Harvesting, growth and characterization of thin films, sensors and actuators, micro pumps, chemical gas sensors, flexible substrate based VEH, and design, simulation, and microfabrication of MEMS/NEMS devices.
