Bio

Dr. Deepika Anand serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sciences at Amrita School of Physical Sciences, Coimbatore. She obtained graduation and M.Phil. from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Prashanti Nilayam, Andhra Pradesh which is a pioneer values-based Integral Educational Institution. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. She had an illustrious service as an assistant professor at Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, and Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. She has even worked as a dietitian dulcetly at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Prashanti Nilayam, Andhra Pradesh.

Dr. Deepika’s current research focuses on nutritional biology and metabolomics studies for mitigating lifestyle disorders. Other areas of interest include the screening of phytochemicals as natural remedies for oxidative stress-induced diseases; the development of synbiotic herbal grain-based foods.
