Amrita Center for International Programs organized a webinar as part of the Dual Degree program offered in collaboration with the University of L’Aquila, Italy, for first-year M. Tech. students on March 26, 2021. The webinar was presented by collaborator Prof. Henry Muccini (Full Professor, Computer Science and Software Architecture, University of L’Aquila, Italy).

Prof. Muccini explained the program, class structure, expectations from students, benefits of attending this program, probable performance-based scholarship opportunities, etc. A large number of students from various streams such as Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Automation, Data Science, Cyber Security, Communication and Information Engineering, Wireless Networks and Applications, and Computational Engineering and Networking attended this webinar which lasted for 45 minutes followed by a Q and A session of 15 minutes. Through the Dual Degree program, Amrita students can earn two degrees in two years – M.Tech. from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and MS from the University of L’Aquila.

Alumni from Amrita, Dr. Karthik Vaidhyanathan, Mr. Hrishikesh Narayanankutty, and Mr. Shreyas Setlur Arun who participated in the Dual Degree program at L’Aquila shared their experiences by elaborating on the benefits, international exposure, further opportunities, and also answered the questions from the students.
