Student Forums“We encouraged all departments to start clubs and forums that could provide the right platform for learning activities by students,” stated Dr. Rakesh, Associate Dean of the School.

The ECI (Electronics, Communication and Instrumentation) Forum was one of the first to be inaugurated, on January 27, 2010.

“The aim of the forum is to provide an extra dimension to the academic growth of the student community by organizing invited talks, workshops and industrial visits,” stated Ms. Kirti S. Pande of the ECE department.

One of the first talks organized was that of Mr. V. V. R. Sastry, Retd. Chairman and MD, Bharat Electronics Ltd., who was present at the inaugural event. In his address on R&D in Industry, Dr. Sastry encouraged students to consider a career of research.
