This comprehensive program offers an immersive exploration of the fundamentals, including freehand drawings, meticulous human anatomy studies, and the mastery of various sculptural materials, complemented by the crafting of intricate 2D and 3D designs. In the second semester, students advance their skills by engaging in the carving of anatomical and traditional sculptures, encompassing animals, birds, and revered idols, culminating in a 50-day project. With a commitment to a rigorous curriculum, hands-on experiential learning, and seasoned guidance from our expert instructors, this course at Amrita Shilpa Kalakshetra provides a formal platform to nurture your artistic talents while preserving cultural heritage.
This course has been specially designed to address issues that have plagued the handicrafts industry in recent years. In order to raise quality standards while simultaneously increasing output capacity, the courses incorporate modern machinery-based sculpting skills. The school also trains its students in negotiation as well as how to work effectively with banks. The school will identify and train 1,000 students over the next five years who have a natural aptitude for the craft. Each student receives a monthly stipend to cover living expenses during their studies.
