Overview

DM/ MCh courses are offered at Amrita School of Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Kochi. DM is offered in 12 streams and MCh in 9 streams. The courses are recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi.

After NEET SS – 2023 results are published, candidates are advised to visit the Medical Counselling Committee’s (MCC) website for registering and participating in All India Deemed University counselling conducted by the Directorate General of health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), New Delhi.

Candidates are advised to regularly visit the MCC website  for latest notifications regarding counselling schedule / reschedules / counselling scheme and other updations after NEET SS – 2023 results. Candidates must also visit Amrita Super Specialty page from Health Sciences Campus, Kochi frequently for further instructions and guidelines regarding reporting for admissions.

Eligibility Criteria: NEET SS – 2023 qualified candidates who have been allotted to Amrita School of Medicine by the MCC, New Delhi are eligible to report for admissions for the academic year 2023-24.

Instructions & Guidelines for Allotted Candidates

Candidates who have been allotted seats in Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences for D.M and M.Ch courses by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) through centralized common counseling should report at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi on or before the last date of reporting as per MCC guidelines.

Due to COVID-19 Pandemic, the below Special Instructions are to be followed by candidates while reporting physically: –

  1. Candidates are requested to enter the Amrita Medical College building
  2. Candidates should wear N-95 masks

Candidates should bring their Provisional Allotment Letter issued by DGHS, original certificates and proof of online payment receipt of first year fees and submit the same. Candidates without original certificates/documents/payment proof shall not be allowed to undertake admission process and same will be intimated to DGHS.

Before reporting, candidates should remit their first year course fees through online mode and proof of fee remittance should be e-mailed to pgadmissions@aims.amrita.edu

NOTE: –

  • The above mentioned in originals certificates are mandatory and have to be submitted to Academics Office at the time of reporting for admission.
  • Candidates reporting for admissions with incomplete list of the above documents will not be allowed to undertake the admission procedure & will be rejected. The same will be intimated to DGHS.
  • Candidates who have deposited their original documents with any other Institute/ College/University and come for admission with a certificate stating that “their original certificates are deposited with the Institute / College / University” will not be allowed to take admission in allotted Medical College.
  • Candidates are advised to keep with them a softcopy/hardcopy of all the submitted documents for their future

Note: – Candidates on the day of reporting for admission, should pay the full course fees i.e. Tuition fees + Other Fees by RTGS/NEFT even though they have paid Rs.2,00,000/- to MCC (DGHS). They should not pay the annual course fees with deduction of Rs.2,00,000/-.

Admission Cancellation and Refunds

1 Candidate who joins through MCC allotment and then upgrades to the next round to another college. Cancellation procedure as per the DGHS/MCC Counseling Norms.
2 Candidate cancels admission (in any circumstance) leaving the seat vacant for the entire course duration First year Course Fees paid will not be refunded. In addition to this, residents should pay the Tuition Fees for the remaining course duration (as applicable to each course) as liquidated damages to the institution.
