Overview

DM/ MCh courses are offered at Amrita School of Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Kochi. DM is offered in 12 streams and MCh in 9 streams. The courses are recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), New Delhi.

After NEET SS – 2021 results are published, candidates are advised to visit the Medical Counselling Committee’s (MCC) website for registering and participating in All India Deemed University counselling conducted by the Directorate General of health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), New Delhi.

Candidates are advised to regularly visit the MCC website  for latest notifications regarding counselling schedule / reschedules / counselling scheme and other updations after NEET SS – 2021 results. Candidates must also visit Amrita Super Specialty page from Health Sciences Campus, Kochi frequently for further instructions and guidelines regarding reporting for admissions.

Eligibility Criteria: NEET SS – 2021 qualified candidates who have been allotted to Amrita School of Medicine by the MCC, New Delhi are eligible to report for admissions for the academic year 2021-22.

NOTE: Annual Additional Facility Charges for DM Gastroenterology – Rs. 3,00,000/- (Gastroscope Expenses) which is applicable to second and third year.

Instructions and Guidelines for Allotted Candidate

Candidates who have been allotted seats in Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences for DM and MCh courses by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) through centralized common counseling should report at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi on or before the last date of reporting as per MCC guidelines.

Due to COVID-19 Pandemic, the below Special Instructions are to be followed by candidates while reporting physically: –

  1. Candidates are requested to enter the Amrita Medical College building only.
  2. From there, candidates will be directed to Academic Office ,ground floor, medical college building where Admission Reporting, Document Verification & Registration will be done.
  3. Candidates and Parent / Guardian should wear N-95 masks compulsorily.

NOTE: –

  • The above certificates mentioned in originals are mandatory and have to be submitted in original to Academics Office at the time of reporting for admission.
  • Candidates reporting for admissions with incomplete list of the above documents will not be allowed to undertake the admission procedure & will be rejected. The same will be intimated to DGHS.
  • Candidates who have deposited their original documents with any other Institute/ College/University and come for admission with a certificate stating that “their original certificates are deposited with the Institute / College / University” will not be allowed to take admission in allotted Medical College.
  • Candidates are advised to keep with them a softcopy/hardcopy of all the submitted documents for their future requirements.

Note: – Before physically reporting to the institute, candidates should pay the first year course fees (Tuition Fees + Other Fees) by RTGS/NEFT.

Hostel Facility will be allotted based on the availability.

Note: – Candidates on the day of reporting for admission, should pay the full course fees i.e. Tuition fees + Other Fees by RTGS/NEFT even though they have paid Rs.2,00,000/- to MCC (DGHS). They should not pay the annual course fees with deduction of Rs.2,00,000/-.

ADMISSION CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

SL.NO SCENARIO PROCESS
1 Candidate who joins through MCC allotment and then upgrades to the next round to another college. Cancellation procedure as per the DGHS/MCC Counseling Norms.
2 Candidate cancels admission (in any circumstance) leaving the seat vacant for the entire course duration First year Course Fees paid will not be refunded. In addition to this, residents should pay the Tuition Fees for the remaining course duration (as applicable to each course) as liquidated damages to the institution.
