Abstract : pThe internet is used by almost all people to communicate, send and receive information. The data which are transferred through the internet are liable to attack since it is an open network. So the data transferred through internet has to be secured in some manner to avoid the leakage of information. The image steganography is such a method which secures the data inside it using several data hiding algorithms. In this paper, the Bernoulli’s chaotic map is used to select the position of the bit to store the data and the binary hamming code is used to hide the data in that position. The proposed highly secured approach increases the security of the image than the existing methods. The metrics like MSE, PSNR, Average Difference, Maximum Difference and Structural content are calculated for the proposed approach. The MSE and PSNR values of the proposed approach are compared with the existing method./p
