Abstract : The output from the renewable sources fluctuates greatly depending on the weather conditions. A micro grid, complemented with a utility grid interconnection enhances the power handling capability in the event of power shortage from the renewable sources. For the synchronized operation of both the grids, a suitable power sharing strategy has to be devised with adequate control logic. Simulation studies showed that a hysteresis current controller for this purpose provide fast and robust dynamic performance insensitive to load variations. This paper details the hardware realization of switching control logic for the interconnecting inverter. The experimental results on a scaled down system using 50 V three phase ac source and 500 W, nonlinear load substantiate the simulation studies
