Abstract : In this paper a simple modulation strategy is briefly described and compared with the traditional popular space vector modulation (SVM) for the operation of 3-phase matrix converter. Both the techniques have been implemented in MATLAB/Simulink environment and input grid side current harmonics with the variation of modulation index, output frequency has been observed.
